About Sister Resister & Our Donations
It's me, hi!
I’m Alicia! Founder of Sister Resister Shop, chaos coordinator-in-chief, and yes, an actual sister to two resisters.
After twenty years in academia, 2020 led me away from the classroom and into school board meetings and reproductive rights rallies in my VERY red county.
Inspired by the Eras Tour, I realized high quality and clever merch could help fund the fight against fascism, cover my daughter's sports fees, and maybe even help me pay for the caffeine required to survive both. Trump won, again, and I fully entered my Rage Era (maybe it's perimenopause, but I prefer "Rage Era").
I built a five-star Etsy shop called Blank Space Style, sold over 2,000 items, with 500 five star reviews until a “community guidelines” violation got me banned (see the Storm the Capitol Christian hoodie that got me canceled here). So, I did what any pissed off woman with receipts would do: I built my own damn brand.
Sister Resister was born : where some pieces don’t just make a statement, they make enemies, and others whisper IYKYK to the real ones. Either way, you’re not just buying a shirt or a tote; you’re helping fund public education, women's rights, and a woman-owned small biz that refuses to be silenced.
This isn’t just merch.
It’s resistance.
And sister, I am SO glad you're here with me. 🖤

Yes, this was two decades ago. Hush. We’ve been fighting the patriarchy since dial-up. This pic is from the Bush administration and we’ve been a problem ever since (thank you, Natalie Maines).
Where the Money Goes:
100% of the profits from anything in the Public Education + Office collection go directly to the Pasco Democratic Public Education Caucus (PDPEC) where we fight for fully funded public schools, banned book resistance, and the educators holding the line.
And everything in the Feminism + NOW collection?
100% of profits go to Pasco NOW, our local chapter of the National Organization for Women, defending bodily autonomy, LGBTQ+ rights, and intersectional feminism in a state that needs all the help it can get (Florida is so embarrassing).
No vague donations. No middlemen. Just straight-up support for the people on the ground, in my little red county, doing the work.
You shop. You resist. You fund the fight. 🔥
